Fun Free in NYC this Summer

Music @ Lincoln Center - you can pay to go on the dance floor BUT you can hear the music just fine from the plaza and tons of people are there dancing and enjoying the atmosphere.
Books and Jazz - free music outside the Brooklyn Central Library and while your there go inside the library and take out a good book, a CD or a DVD movie.
Visit MOMA on Friday nights it's free after 4pm and check out some very cool modern art.
Go to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens on Saturdays from 10am -12pm for free. The earlier you go the better chance you'll have to see some interesting birds like a Red tail hawk and Cranes.
See a movie outside at Brooklyn Bridge Park. Monsters vs. Aliens on July 15!
Take a ride on the Staten Island Ferry round trip. It's always free and you ride right past the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.

Dania Garcia, 41 a blogger in Cuba was arrested for a dispute with her daughter however she claims she was prosecuted because she supports the Ladies in White - a group of wives and mothers of men held in Cuban prisons for speaking out against the Castro Regime.

New Immigration Law in Arizona
Dear Students,
Arizona recently past a law making it illegal to be an undocumented immigrant. If a police officer suspects you are undocumented you can be asked to show your ID and papers and if you do not show papers proving you are here legally you can be arrested for 6 months and fined $2500. Do you agree or disagree with this law? State why you agree or disagree. What is the affect this law will have on the families of those arrested? Do you think a this type of law will be past in New York?
